Saint Vincent de Paul Society
A secure platform for SSVP members to register beneficiaries, coordinate meal delivery, and manage food assistance — from registration to confirmation. Fighting food insecurity in Lagos, one meal at a time.
What we provide
Each beneficiary receives assistance tailored to their specific circumstances.
Prepared meals delivered to beneficiaries who are unable to cook — due to physical limitations, lack of cooking facilities, or illness. Meals are sourced from vetted food vendors with high hygiene standards.
Food supplies for beneficiaries who can cook but lack access to ingredients. Provided weekly or bi-weekly through partnered grocery stores to supplement their existing food supply with fresh, quality staples.
Both cooked meals and raw ingredients, reserved for special cases such as pregnancy, large families, or specific dietary requirements. Approved individually by the Society committee on a case-by-case basis.
The process
An authorised SSVP member fills in the beneficiary registration form, capturing personal details, eligibility criteria, and preferred meal type.
Society members review the submission in a scheduled meeting. The President and Secretary verify eligibility, confirm meal category, and set the duration of assistance.
Once approved, the beneficiary is notified with their start date, meal schedule, and assigned logistics partner. Deliveries begin as confirmed.
Beneficiary eligibility
Only SSVP members may register beneficiaries. Applicants must meet one or more of the following criteria.
Individuals who have recently lost their job or have no sustainable means of income and cannot provide food for themselves or their families.
People who lack a support network — including orphans and children from families with no means of providing a minimum food ration.
Homeless individuals with no food access, and sick or elderly persons with no or limited support from family members.
Anyone who is unable to feed themselves and requires daily assistance with food due to physical disability or other severe circumstances.
